Here at The Tunnel we offer a variety of shooting experiences from air rifles to full-bore long range rifles, vintage rifles and pistols.
Below is a rundown of what these experiences comprise :
- PLEASE NOTE that range bookings are not available online.
- All experiences must be booked in advance by email or telephone, and we cannot accept same day bookings.
- All our shooting experiences (or 'options') include safety supervision by a qualified Range Officer, necessary safety equipment, the loan of a rifle and ammunition.
- Experiences are offered by the Target Sports Centre Ltd., and possession of firearms and ammunition by participants is through the provisions of s11(4) Firearms Act 1968 (as amended).
- Please note that we require a non-refundable 50% deposit for all bookings, for which we can take card payment via telephone if convenient.
- Specifics of shooting experiences are subject to change, and we cannot guarantee the availability of particular equipment.
- All shooters will have to sign a declaration stating that they are not a prohibited person according to Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968. We cannot provide a refund for shooters who are not able to make this declaration.
- Minimum ages are shown for each experience below and junior rates apply to participants under the age of 18.
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session starts. This allows for signing in. The shooting experiences start on the hour. Anyone later the 15 minutes past the hour will need to rearrange their session.
- If you are redeeming a gift voucher, please ensure you bring it with you.
All of our vouchers are valid for one year from the date of dispatch, and are non-refundable.
Our shooting experience vouchers may either be collected from The Tunnel Target Sports Centre, or sent out individually with a brochure within 3 working days.

A session lasting up to one hour where the participant will use a bolt action rifle chambered for the .22LR rimfire cartridge.
The session includes up to 50 rounds of ammunition and is structured to provide a novice with the opportunity to develop basic rifle shooting skills.
.22LR rifles have minimal recoil, so they are an ideal introduction for all ages. Hearing protection is necessary and provided to all participants.
- £40 per adult, £25 per junior.
- Suitable for everyone, from the age of 8 and great for families!

A session of up to one hour offering the opportunity to shoot with semi-automatic (self-loading) rifles chambered for the .22LR rimfire cartridge.
The session includes up to 150 rounds of ammunition with a rifle typically fitted with a holographic or red-dot type sight.
We may be able to offer different rifle makes/types depending upon our working stock. This session uses both paper and knock-down steel targets and will take place on our 25m range.

In the Long Range Experience the shooter will use the Ruger Precision Rimfire rifle equipped with a telescopic sight.
The rifles are chambered in the .22 Magnum cartridge which offers more than double the muzzle energy of .22LR and is shot on our indoor 100m range.
It includes up to 50 rounds of ammunition in one hour and is structured to give an experience of the complexity of long range shooting and further develop your rifle shooting skills.

Special Price 3-hour Combined Shooting Experience.
This experience combines the use of a .22LR Rifle, Military Rifle (Smith & Wesson M&P .22LR) and Long Range Rifle (Ruger Precision .22WMR).
Book in for our three shooting experiences on the same day or buy all three as a voucher and get £20 off the total price (For one person on one day only).
